Julie E. Howe, Ph.D., is a Manhattan-based social psychologist with expertise in social psychological theories and social science methodology.  Drawing on 10 years of diverse experience in the field of trial consulting, Dr. Howe works closely with plaintiff, defense and corporate counsel to effectively communicate their clients’ cases and develop successful trial strategies. She provides research and consultations on cases nationwide, in State and Federal Courts, on both civil and criminal matters.  As J. Howe Consulting, Dr. Howe consults on all phases of litigation including case issue analysis, pre-trial jury research, jury selection, witness preparation, support at trial and post trial juror interviews.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Dr. Howe currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Trial Consultants.  She is a member of the American Psychology-Law Society Division of the American Psychology Association, the New York Association of Public Opinion Researchers and the Qualitative Research Consultants Association.  She is also a member of the American Judicature Society and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.  Dr. Howe designs and participates in continuing legal education programs.

           

Dr. Howe received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from North Carolina State University .  She holds a M.A. in Psychology from The College of William and Mary and a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Vermont .
